History
Technical Service Corporation was incorporated
under the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky on February 26,
1948 and has been in continuous operation since that time. Its
original location was at 1404 West Market Street. It relocated
to 917-919 South Third Street in 1950 on property that is now part
of the Spalding University Campus. The company moved to its existing
location at 2618 South Fourth Street in 1968.
| At its inception the company was primarily involved
in the design and installation of school intercommunications
and public address systems, the old Louisville
Board of Education being one of its major clients. A primary achievement for the
company was becoming the state’s first Altec Acousta-Voice
contractor that was trained and equipped to equalize sound
reinforcement systems for large spaces. The first of these
installations was Louisville Gardens in 1969. This was followed
by numerous installations at Western
Kentucky University and
all the paging and sound reinforcement systems for the University
of Louisville Health Sciences Center in the early seventies.
Sound systems for houses of worship has continually been part
of the company’s focus with well over five-hundred completed
installations. |

In 1985 the company took a major step forward in health care
communications which involves nurse call, lab intercom, closed
– circuit television and paging systems for hospitals. Our
major clients for these systems are Jewish Hospitals, Norton
Hospitals and various locations for the Medical Center of Bowling
Green.
In light of our diversity we realize that professional installations, reliable
service and customer satisfaction are our greatest assets. These are the attributes
that has kept us a viable company for well over 60 years. |
